"The person is not the problem; the problem is the problem."

— Michael White & David Epston

From complex childhoods to different needs and diagnoses to the massive life transition into adulthood, the first step is reaching out, we’ve got you from there.

Danielle Perez, MSMFT, LMFTA

Therapist in Federal Way, WA

Hi! I’m Danielle, and I am already looking forward to the life-changing work we can do together!

When performance anxiety, stress, or heavy transitions take over, it feels overwhelming to find the next step forward.

Therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Together, we look at your whole world: the connections you hold, the family dynamics you navigate, and the pressures you carry.

We focus on real solutions and rewrite the patterns that no longer serve you, building directly on the strengths and resilience you already have. You leave every session feeling genuinely understood, deeply supported, and fully equipped to take charge of your life.

Something I hold true is YOU should be the author of your life.

If the way things are feels like it is limiting what is in front of you, lets get to work!

Our approach here is built on a simple belief:

Loving life is more than a feeling; it’s a promise, one that requires real skills and sometimes, some truly deep work.

Breaking cycles is not only the bravest work you will ever do, it is a huge part of building and maintaining love that lasts.

Education and Training:

Meaningful personal growth takes more than textbook theory; it demands the skill to stay steady when things get intense.

All of us here are graduates of COAMFTE-accredited programs (the gold standard for relational and systemic therapy training) which means we hit the ground running, studying directly under nationally renowned clinicians who were directly trained by the founders of models used throughout the field.

My academic training started at Texas A&M University. I quickly took that knowledge into the field, spending years on the front lines of inpatient psychiatric units and community mental health systems. That acute crisis work, paired with an earlier career navigating high-touch customer environments, taught me how to read a room instantly, hold calm in high-pressure moments, and connect with people at their most vulnerable.

Today, I combine rigorous behavioral training with unwavering composure. I provide the grounded, high-level support you need to move past survival mode and create real, lasting change in your life.

Are you a great fit for working with me?

Check this for fit: you feel overwhelmed, stuck.

You know it is time for a specialist who understands the trials you are going through, as well as a clear set of pathways out of the struggle. You are not interested in an hour-long-vent-session every week, you want more, you want results, you want relief now.

You want to be able to chart a course for your life and actually have the tools to achieve your goals.

Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, the transition into adulthood, or deep childhood work that needs doing (or all three), I provide the space and expertise to help propel you forward.
