Raising Humans: Beautiful, Messy, Critical

You don’t have to figure it out alone

In a world overflowing with conflicting advice and the pressure to be perfect, it is easy to feel exhausted, reactive, and disconnected from the parent you want to be.

My approach moves beyond generic scripts to help you understand the deeper emotional dynamics at play, empowering you to break-free from from harmful cycles and heal old patterns so they are not passed down to the next generation.

The bravest thing a parent can do is break free from their own struggle.

The entire world of people-making is a collision of love, exhaustion, worry, and hope. Perfection is impossible, instead we strive for presence, understanding, and the resilience to keep showing up, even on the hardest days.

FAQs

How do we know it's time for therapy?

If you are still TTC, you are in the throws of parenting, or you are navigating secondary infertility, so much about the journey of growing your family is uncharted territory. If you feel like you should “just get it” you aren’t alone. That said, if it was that easy, you would “just get it”.

This journey is so difficult and the lives we live up until this point are not great at preparing us for that.

I find it may be time for therapy if any element of this trek is wearing you down, if it is stealing your peace or making it hard to keep your head above water.

If the idea of sitting with someone who gets it, truly gets it, brings you a positive feeling, reach out. You don’t have to do this by yourself.

Is therapy for bad parents? Are you going to tell me where I am going wrong?

Absolutely not. Whether you are navigating the emotional rollercoaster of fertility struggles or the relentless exhaustion of the toddler years, you are holding so much.

Our work together is about your strengths as a parent, one of which is you being here right now. You care enough to not only ask how you can be better for your kiddos/future children but how you can help yourself.

We will focus on rebuilding your trust in yourself, in your body, in your partner and on restoring emotional regulation and connection.

Together we work as a team to replace “survival mode” with practical, evidence-based strategies that help you feel like a capable, more connected parent and partner.

Do you work with the kids, the parents, or the whole family together?

We treat the family as a whole system. This might mean processing the unique trauma of a long TTC journey, improving co-parenting communication, or practicing new skills in family sessions.

Your journey is unique to you, and your time with us in therapy will be too.

We create an individualized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and stage of life, ensuring everyone in the home feels supported and seen.
